It is the Interzonal challenge in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2018 season and the first of the matches this Wednesday will feature Haryana Steelers take on Bengal Warriors.
Haryana are nearly out of the reckoning for the play-off places and are currently fifth in Zone A with 32 points from 16 matches. The Steelers have won just five matches all season, losing ten and drawing one. The 35-33 loss to Puneri Paltan will hurt them as a 15-point advantage was blown away.
Averaging 28.56 points per game, Haryana have been one of the low scorers in the league. Vikash Khandola, Monu Goyat and Naveen have been the lone exceptions for a side that has struggled through the tournament.
Bengal Warriors are third in Zone B with 42 points from 13 matches. They have won seven matches so far and lost four, while the remaining two matches have ended as draws. With three straight wins, the Warriors have momentum on their side, as they look to move up the points table.
Bengal have been one of the poorest scorers in the league and average 27.84 points per game, which is marginally above the bottom-placed U.P. Yoddha. With a lot riding on the shoulders of Maninder Singh and all-rounder Ran Singh to keep their winning run intact.
Fantasy Players to Watch
Maninder Singh is in good form for the Warriors with 118 points this season from 12 games. He can be a very good pick to be a raider for your fantasy side.
Vikash Khandola has been in sparkling form for the Steelers this season and has already picked up 135 points in his 16 games. He has been the leading raider for his side and is sure to get a lot of chances to add points to his tally.
Naveen has been impressive for the Steelers this season with his all-round ability. Having already picked up 79 points in his 15 matches so far, the versatile player is another name that should make your fantasy side as an all-rounder pick.
