Pro Kabaddi League Fantasy Tips: Dabang Delhi vs Haryana Steelers

Kabaddi Delhi vs Haryana

It’s a match of two struggling teams in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2018, as Dabang Delhi K.C. will play Haryana Steelers in Pune on Sunday. Both sides are coming off a defeat and need a win to keep their knockout hopes alive.

Delhi were beaten 39-23 by U Mumba on Saturday in a very poor defensive display by Dabang. They could only manage five tackle points in the entire match, as the U Mumba raiders ran riot. For a strong defensive unit comprising captain Joginder Narwal, Ravinder Pahal and Vishal Mane that is a very poor return.

Only Naveen Kumar with 97 points from his 12 matches finds a place in the top ten players of the season. Chandran Ranjit has also chipped in with 84 points from 12 matches and the duo will be crucial for Delhi’s raiding hopes. However, it is the defence that has to step up as Joginder (33 points) and Pahal (32 points) will be eyeing improvements.

Haryana Steelers most recently lost 40-31 to Gujarat Fortunegiants. Raiders did their job in the match, as Monu Goyat picked up ten points and Vikash Khandola grabbed six. It was the defence that wilted under pressure, picking up just five tackle points. Haryana have now won just once in their last five matches, losing three and one tie.

Khandola remains Haryana’s best player having bagged 118 points in the season from 14 matches. Monu Goyat has 81 points, but has largely been inconsistent. Naveen’s 71 raid points has given the Steelers a boost in the recent matches.

The last match between these sides ended 39-33 in favour of Delhi. Naveen Kumar (nine points) and Chandran Ranjit (six) have led the side, while Monu Goyat picked up 11 points for Haryana.

Fantasy Kabaddi Players to Watch

Naveen Kumar has been a revelation for Dabang Delhi this season. More than anything, it is his consistency that is standing out. Having missed a Super 10 by just one point against Haryana in the last encounter, he will look to make amends this time around.

Vikash Khandola is probably the best raider that will be on display from either side in this match. Having already picked up 116 points this season, the Haryana raider will be looking to make his mark once again.

Monu Goyat hasn’t been consistent this season, but has shown signs of picking form in the recent games. He has picked up a Super 10 against Dabang Delhi in their recent encounter and will look to do an encore.
