Bengal Warriors vs Tamil Thalaivas

Zone B of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2018 season will swing into the final phase, as Bengal Warriors get ready to take on Tamil Thalaivas at the Tau Devilal Sports Complex in Panchkula on Friday in the second match of the evening.

The Bengal Warriors have lost 20-31 to U Mumba in a low-scoring encounter in their last match. It was a very poor match for the raiders as the Warriors could manage only ten raid points through the match. Anyone having their raiders as part of their fantasy team had to bear the brunt!

Maninder Singh could manage only five raid points in 19 attempts and even Ravindra Kumawat failed to rise to the occasion with just two points in 12 raids. The defence did have a better outing and Baldev Singh impressed with four tackle points.

The Thalaivas are also coming off a loss with a 24-37 defeat at the hands of Jaipur Pink Panthers complicating their playoff chances. The Thalaivas still have a chance of qualifying for the later stages of the tournament, but on current form they look down and out.

Ajay Thakur had a night to forget – and even all those fantasy teams slotting him as a captain – managing just two raid points. Substitute raider Victor Oberoi was indeed the star player for the Thalaivas, managing five points off five attempts. Keep an eye on him for your fantasy sides!

The last time these sides met, the Warriors won 36-27, with Maninder scoring nine points and Mahesh Goud adding five. The Thalaivas had Jasvir Singh picking up seven points, while Ajay Thakur added six.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Maninder Singh has been one of the star names for Bengal and has 134 points in his 14 games so far. With his slick raiding skills, Maninder is someone who can add points to your kitty if he’s part of your fantasy side.

Ajay Thakur has overcome the heartbreak of national disappointment and has sparkled this season for the Thalaivas. With 171 points in 18 matches, the star raider has been leading his side with consistent displays. Another must have in your fantasy side!

Manjeet Chhillar is one of the star all-rounders, who keeps adding points at both ends of the mat. He already has 66 points from 18 matches and although it is not in line with his status, Manjeet is a good pick to be your fantasy team’s all-rounder.
