IPL T20 Fantasy Tips: RCB vs RR Preview

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Rajasthan Royals

Is there still a window open for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)? Stuck at the bottom of the Indian Premier League 2019 season tally, they need a win against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at any cost.

RCB have four wins from 12 matches and need to win their remaining two with big margins. And then, expect for other results to fall their way. For the Royals who have five wins in 12, two wins could do the trick.

RCB Preview

Virat Kohli’s men have been poor with their bowling and too one-dimensional with the bat. The consistent team changes haven’t helped either. With just Kohli and AB de Villiers scoring the runs, together with Parthiv Patel, RCB are crying for improvements.

What remained constant through the tournament is the RCB bowling mishaps. While their pacers remained far away from being economical, the spinners struggled for conviction. Overall, there is very little from RCB so far to inspire confidence on their ability to win.

RR Preview

The change in leadership has helped RR, as they bounced back under Steve Smith to get back into the playoffs’ reckoning. They have won three of their last four and haven’t lost much momentum with the departure of their foreign imports.

One thing that should hearten their prospects is the improvement in their bowling performances. While Oshane Thomas has settled into his groove, Jaydev Unadkat may have turned the tide. Shreyas Gopal has been effective against every top player and remains their best bet.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Parthiv Patel has been one consistent scorer from the RCB squad. His scores may not go beyond the usual 40s or 50s, but his ability to score quickly makes Parthiv a good pick.

Shreyas Gopal enjoys playing against RCB and has nine wickets in three games against them at a miserly average of 5.56. Not just that, he was the man of the match in the last two H2H matches.

Liam Livingstone is one of the exciting T20 names from the English circuit. The way he scored his runs in the last game should throw light on what he can do. A risky pick, but might well worth the risk!
