Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings

Stuck at opposite ends of the Indian Premier League 2019 table, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have a lot riding on them. When the teams meet at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Sunday, there is more than two points at play.

Chennai are at the top of the tally with seven wins in nine, while Bangalore at the bottom with two wins in nine. In addition, CSK have defeated RCB in their last seven matches and will look to continue that record.

RCB Preview

Only mathematical chance is what is left in the season for RCB, who continue to be over-dependent on Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. The Protea Superstar should be available for selection, after sitting out of the last game due to concussion protocol.

What must be heartening for Kohli and his side is the improvement in Moeen Ali’s numbers as the series progressed. With Dale Steyn adding experience to their bowling unit, they look better balanced now than earlier in the season.

CSK Preview

MS Dhoni sat out of the previous game and CSK fell to a humbling six-wicket loss at the hands of SRH. The not-so-impressive returns of Suresh Raina is a worry (207 runs, SR 117.61), while Ambati Rayudu has only just begun to score some runs (163, SR 90.05).

It is with the ball that CSK have been enjoying greater goods. Imran Tahir has been consistently taking wickets, while Deepak Chahar has been chugging away with consistent results. With a lot of spin options in the side, CSK remain better-suited for the Hyderabad pitch.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Virat Kohli loves chipping in with runs when the odds are down. His side are almost out of the tournament, but for his 100 in the previous match.

Imran Tahir has 15 wickets in the season at an ER of 5.67. The wily leg-spinner is enjoying a new lease of life and can be a good asset to your fantasy side.

Moeen Ali has just started getting into groove and has 190 runs @ SR of 169.64 to go with five wickets @ ER of 6.68. The all-rounder can be a dark horse in your fantasy picks.
