We are approaching the end of IPL 2020 group league stage and so far, only Mumbai Indians have been able to cement playoff position. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals have 14 points but need one win at least to confirm their berth.
Hence, Saturday’s match between RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad is going to be a significant one.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Preview
Two back-to-back losses have made things a bit tricky for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Now they have to win both their remaining fixtures to finish in top two. However, one win should be good enough for them to make it to the top four. With two matches scheduled against SRH and DC in the upcoming days, RCB would like to win tomorrow to keep things smoother.
In both their previous losses, the Bangalore side had to suffer with their batting. There were a couple of decent scores at the top but going forward in such an important clash, having a high score on board should give more confidence, especially to the bowlers. If Navdeep Saini is match-ready, it is time to bring him back in place of Shivam Dube. Josh Philippe may continue as the opener instead of Aaron Finch with Isuru Udana replacing Dale Steyn.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Preview
Sunrisers Hyderabad will hit the ground with full confidence after coming from a massive victory over Delhi Capitals. They had a perfect outing- the batters scored; the bowlers defended; it was a perfect match to get back the self-belief. SRH have must-win matches ahead of them against RCB and Mumbai Indians. With the momentum with them, the side should be confident about winning.
After a long time, David Warner looked at his brutal best and the strike rate vouched for it. On the other hand, Wriddhiman Saha who had been criticised for his first knock of the season, opened in place of Jonny Bairstow and displayed a flawless innings. If the Hyderabad side can replicate what they did last time against Delhi Capitals, they shouldn’t worry much. However, the bowlers need to have more control as apart from Rashid Khan, T Natarajan, and Sandeep Sharma all were expensive.
