Fantasy Kabaddi: PKL Season 7 – Top all-rounders

PKL all-rounders

The action in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 7 is just around the corner. As the teams get ready for the competition starting from July 20th, we look at those players who make a difference to fortunes. It is the all-rounders that we are talking about.

Kabaddi is a specialist game – be it raiding or defending, every team needs specialists to make sure the chances don’t go amiss. At the same time, all-rounders play an important part. Just like in cricket, any player who can make a difference at both ends of the mat in Kabaddi are worth their weight in gold.

With the new season set to begin, we look at the top all-rounders who are primed to make the season their own.

Meraj Sheykh – Dabang Delhi

India’s hold over international kabaddi was ended by Iran and at the centre of it is Meraj Sheykh. The influential all-rounder is one of those who ‘never give up’ and is a crowd favourite wherever he goes. Delhi public have lapped him up as one of their own and the Iranian 31-year-old will look to lead his side to glory.

With a wrestling background that gives him a unique defensive technique, Meraj has made the ‘scorpion kick’ his own. With 309 raid points and 53 tackle points, he brings a lot of experience for the Delhi unit. And, his influence goes beyond the numbers as well!

Sandeep Narwal – U Mumba

The Mumbai all-rounder is one of the most charismatic players of the league. With an ability to surprise the opponents at any stage of a game, Sandeep brings aggression to the side. His unorthodox techniques surprise the opposition teams making him a great asset to U Mumba.

His numbers across the PKLs indicate Sandeep’s value to his team – 229 raid points and 254 tackle points. Sandeep will need to be at the top of his game for U Mumba to retain their past glory.

Deepak Niwas Hooda – Jaipur Pink Panthers

One of the best in the business, Deepak Niwas Hooda is a legend in PKL. The 25-year-old has the presence of mind and the calmness to turn any situation around. With 710 raid points and 75 tackle points in his career so far, the all-rounder has proven pedigree in the tournament.

After winning the title in the inaugural season, Jaipur have struggled to replicate their top form. The star-studded line-up needs an anchor to lead them across the line this season. And, Hooda is the right guy to do that. Expect him to reward your selection with fantasy points.
