FOOTBALL - EPL - ARSENAL vs TOTTENHAM

Nothing beats the euphoria of a derby in the English Premier League. And, when it is the North London derby between Arsenal (six points) and Tottenham Hotspur (four points), London stands still. This will be the case at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Both teams are coming off disappointing results last weekend. The Gunners lost 3-1 to Liverpool, while Tottenham Hotspur were shocked 1-0 by Newcastle United. Arsenal, however, have the advantage over Tottenham in the derbies. This will be the 199th competitive clash between the clubs. Arsenal have a 82-64 win-loss record and will be keen to add to that.

Arsenal Preview

The Gunners, however, have a poor recent record against Tottenham. Arsenal have won just two of their last ten Premier League games against Tottenham (W2, D5, L3). Both the wins, however, have come at this venue.

The hosts lost to Liverpool because of poor defending. Arsenal manager Unai Emery didn’t throw his best strikers against the Reds. If Pepe and Lacazette start, we could be set for an interesting derby.

Tottenham Hotspur Preview

Spurs didn’t start the season favourably. A point against City was great, but the loss to Newcastle was a poor result. Their Premier League recordagainst Arsenal away from home is even more disappointing. Tottenham have won just one of their last 26 Premier League visits to Arsenal (W1, D10, L15).

All eyes will be on Harry Kane. He has been a ‘derby specialist’ for Tottenham. Injuries to Tanguy Ndombele and Kyle Walker-Peters puts the visitors in a precarious position.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has two goals in his three games so far. The striker is a real threat up front and should be a good fantasy pick.

Dani Ceballos has been a revelation for Arsenal this season. On loan from Real Madrid, Ceballos will hope to lift the hosts.

Harry Kane has scored nine Premier League goals in nine matches against Arsenal. Only two players have scored more against the Gunners.
