With the other contenders for the top-four spot in the English Premier League not playing this weekend, Chelsea will look to make the most of their match against Everton at the Goodison Park. The visitors can go as high as fourth with a win here.

As for the hosts, it has been an up and down season. Having held Chelsea to a 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture, coach Marco Silva wouldn’t mind seeing a repeat.

Everton Preview

Everton are more than 20 points off the top-five, so that is almost ruled out of contention. The only thing left for the Toffees is to end the season with a flourish and finish in the top-seven. However, they are not in prime form ahead of this match. A 3-2 loss at Newcastle United in the last round made it just one win in six league matches.

Even at home, Everton have seen their form dip. A 2-0 win over Bournemouth early in January remains their only win in eight home league fixtures (W1, D3, L4). Everton have also lost two of their last three home matches.

Chelsea Preview

The Blues have marked their passage to the quarter-finals of the Europa League in the midweek. They can now get back into the top-four with a big win. However, three losses in their last seven league matches (W3, D1, L3) mean Chelsea remain vulnerable.

Away from home, the Blues are even more vulnerable. Three losses in their last four Premier League visits (W1, L3) point to a side that can be beaten. The Blues have conceded 13 goals during this run, while scoring just two.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Eden Hazard has 13 goals and 11 assists this Premier League season, which is 48% of Chelsea’s overall goals. He has no goals at Goodison Park, though, after six games. He could be breaking that duck this weekend.

Gylfi Sigurdsson has 11 goals and three assists in the Premier League. He has been Everton’s best outfield player and will look to add more this weekend.

Olivier Giroud has a hat-trick and an assist in the midweek Europa League game. He didn’t get his due in the league, though, and will be looking to covert his Europe form to domestic scene.
