Fantasy Football: EPL Week 13 Tottenham vs Chelsea Preview

1047

It is derby time in London in the English Premier League this weekend as the match of the week pits Tottenham Hotspur against Chelsea at the iconic Wembley Stadium. Both teams are separated by just one point, adding to the intrigue of the derby, as they chase a place in the top-four of the league.

Tottenham, however, have an important decision to make, considering that they have an important Champions League fixture against Inter Milan coming up. Mauricio Pochettino’s side has won the last two league matches and have lost just once in seven Premier League matches (W6, L1).

Spurs’ fans are frustrated with the delay in the construction of the home stadium, and their home form this season hasn’t been up to scratch (W2, L2). Tottenham will bring a lot of defensive solidity to the match, having conceded just ten goals in their 12 Premier League matches so far.

Chelsea have no such worries as Tottenham on the continental front, having already qualified for the Europa League knockout rounds. The Blues remain one of the only three sides yet to lose this season and have won eight of their 12 Premier League matches so far.

On the road, Chelsea have won four of their five trips, conceding just one goal in the process. In fact, the Blues have conceded just eight goals so far in their 12 Premier League matches, with just the top two Manchester City and Liverpool conceding less goals than Chelsea.

Fantasy Football Players to Watch

Eden Hazard is in sparkling form this season with seven goals and four assists in just 11 appearances. The Belgian winger is a constant threat in the wide areas and his tussle with the defensively solid Tottenham backline will be the one to watch.

Marcos Alonso is not your typical full-back, and enjoys roaming in free areas with a license to roam. He already has one goal and three assists to his name to go with his average of 3.7 clearances per game. Watch out for the Spaniard!

Harry Kane is one name you can’t miss out in London derbies! The England striker has six goals and one assist to his name this season and has four goals to his name in his last four matches for club and country.
