CRICKET - BBL - THUNDER vs SIXERS

After a pulsating match that was decided by a single run in the Super Over, the Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers are ready for the second ‘Sydney Smash’ of the Big Bash League 2019-20. This match #42 of the season will be played at the Sydney Showground Stadium on Saturday.

The Thunder have lost four of their last five matches and have 9 points from 10 matches (W4, L5, NR1). The Sixers are in better form, winning five of their last seven matches and losing just once. With the playoff places yet to be grabbed, this match could witness another tight tussle.

Sydney Thunder Preview

All through the season, it has been captain Callum Ferguson who was leading the Thunder show. His presence in your fantasy side is a huge positive. And, so is that of Alex Hales with the aggressive England opener enjoying a good season.

With the ball, one name you can’t miss out in your fantasy side is Daniel Sams. The left-arm seamer has been consistently among the wickets and can do so again. Chris Morris hasn’t fired with the bat, but his bowling has been steady and effective.

Sydney Sixers Preview

Only two batsmen have been consistent for the Sixers and both look good to be your fantasy picks. Josh Philippe is an exceptional talent, while Daniel Hughes has got rich BBL experience. Both the players aggregate 230+ runs in the series and should be good choices.

With the ball, keep a close eye on Tom Curran. The England all-rounder has been versatile and has even been the difference when the sides met earlier. Lloyd Pope has been brilliant too, while the anticipated return of Nathan Lyon gives them more teeth.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Callum Ferguson is in the form of his life this season. With 302 runs at a SR of 135.42, he is a good pick for your fantasy side.

Tom Curran is definitely one of the players of the season so far. He has 14 wickets with the ball and has been the Sixers’ match winner this season.

Daniel Sams has been consistent with the ball for the Thunder. His 17 wickets have kept them in contention. And, he is due some runs with the bat as well.
