CRICKET - BBL - STARS vs THUNDER

Match #28 of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2019-20 will feature the red-hot Melbourne Stars and the Sydney Thunder. This match as part of the mid-week double header will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The Stars have five wins out of six matches and have won their last three. The Thunder have just one win from their last five fixtures. And, they have also lost their last two games. In addition, the Stars have defeated the Thunder earlier this season. Albeit a nervy win, that means the Stars’ players are primed to be in your fantasy team.

Melbourne Stars Preview

Glenn Maxwell (169 runs, SR 167.32) and Marcus Stoinis (281 runs, SR 122.70) have been the lead batsmen for the Stars. With national duty coming up, the duo will be keen to leave their mark. Both the players look excellent picks at the moment.

Adam Zampa has nine wickets this season and has been Stars’ go-to-bowler. However, it is the return of Haris Rauf that sets the stage for an exciting game. Sandeep Lamichhane has been equally good, so he can be another good fantasy pick.

Sydney Thunder Preview

Callum Ferguson has been calling the shots for Thunder, with 253 runs so far at a SR of 141.34. Usman Khawaja hasn’t really been consistent, but always remains a good pick. Their batting, otherwise, has been up and down.

Bowling wise, Daniel Sams has been a revelation for the Thunder. With 14 wickets, he has been consistently leading their bowling. Chris Morris (eight wickets) has also started picking up wickets. He bowls at both ends of the innings making him an exciting fantasy pick.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Haris Rauf 10 wickets in three matches, including 3/24 against the Thunder. His pace and accuracy makes him a dream pick.

Callum Ferguson has been the consistent scorer for the Thunder. His ability to score 6s is a bonus to earn a place in your fantasy side.

Marcus Stoinis has three 50+ scores in six innings so far. He might not be bowling, but Stoinis’ batting alone is enough to guarantee a fantasy spot.
