Fantasy Cricket: Sixers v Scorchers BBL Preview

Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers will play the 41st match of the BBL on January 16 at Manuka Oval, Canberra. The Sixers won their last match against Sydney Thunder comfortably and are currently sitting at the top of the points table.

The Scorchers did not have a great start to the tournament. Fortunately, they have won their last five matches. So, the third-placed side has a chance of going to the second spot if they can beat the Sixers.

Sydney Sixers Preview

The Sixers have a well-balanced team with their batsmen making key contributions in all their matches. Josh Philippe has been a revelation and is currently sitting at the top of the run-scorers’ table with 337 runs. Daniel Hughes is also in the top-10 with 271 runs. James Vince and Jordan Silk too are potential fantasy picks. Daniel Christian is in good all-round form and is a must for fantasy teams.

Steve O’Keefe is leading the pack with 13 wickets. Moreover, after a man-of-the-match performance against the Thunder, he deserves to be in the fantasy teams. Ben Dwarshuis is still doubtful because of injury but the experienced Jackson Bird looks like a good alternative.

Perth Scorchers Preview

The English opening duo of the Scorchers was in great form last time out. Jason Roy has already scored 212 runs and is just behind another overseas star Colin Munro. The leading run-scorer of the side is expected to make a strong return from injury. The injury of Mitchell Marsh in the last match is a big blow though. In-form Josh Inglis can be a good fantasy choice.

Jhye Richardson is leading the bowling pack for the Scorchers efficiently and also leading the wicket-takers list with 18 wickets from nine matches to become a fantasy must-have. Andrew Tye, Fawad Ahmed, and Aaron Hardie also helped with the ball.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Josh Philippe continues to impress as he has already scored two fifties including a match-winning 64 in the last match.

Daniel Christian again played handy innings of 15 from five balls in the last match. He has scored 175 runs in the tournament with a strike rate of 192.30. He also has 10 wickets.

Jhye Richardson is showing admirable consistency with the ball and maintaining an average of 11.16 and an economy rate of 6.34 while picking up 18 wickets already.
