The seventh-placed Perth Scorchers will play their 8th match of the BBL 2020-21 against the table-toppers Sydney Thunder at the Perth Stadium on Saturday.
Both teams are coming off wins as the Scorchers won by 86 runs against Sydney Sixers and the Thunders beat Hobart Hurricanes by 39 runs.
Perth Scorchers Preview
The Scorchers have won 3 of their 7 matches and also have an abandoned match earlier. With a bonus-point win they can reach the fourth position in the table. Their overseas recruits Jason Roy and Colin Munro are well-known T20 players and are also in good form to be in the fantasy teams. Mitchell Marsh is back from injury and showing his value as he delivered a man-of-the-match performance in the last match.
Jhye Richardson already has 13 wickets in the tournament and again picked up 3 wickets last time out. Andrew Tye also picked up four wickets to help the Scorchers to a big win. Along with them Jason Behrendorff and Fawad Ahmed are also key options for fantasy teams.
Sydney Thunder Preview
Sydney Thunder’s batting strength lies in their top order as Usman Khawaja, Alex Hales and Callum Ferguson all have totaled more than 200 runs in the tournament and look to be in good form. Daniel Sams will be out for the second match running as he still has not recovered from concussion yet. In his absence, Ben Cutting can be the key option for the all-rounder in the fantasy team.
The bowling is led by the leg spinner Tanveer Sangha who is leading the BBL wickets chart with 15 wickets. Another spinner Chris Green has also picked up 12 wickets and bowls pretty well during the power play.
Fantasy Players to Watch
Mitchell Marsh has already scored 172 runs with 2 fifties and a strike rate of 143.33. He also has 3 wickets and maintained an economy rate below six.
