Another Melbourne derby within three days would see Melbourne Renegades facing Melbourne Stars at the Docklands Stadium, Melbourne on 20th December. This will be the 45th match of this BBL with the Renegades being the first team to be eliminated from the semi-final race.
The Stars are currently in the third spot and will seal their spot at the top four with few more wins. In their last meeting, the Renegades took them close but could not prevent a 6-wicket win by the Stars.
Melbourne Renegades Preview
Although Melbourne Renegades are out of the tournament, for some of the young players it will be still a great opportunity to show their talent on the big stage. This will also give the captain Aaron Finch a few opportunities to experiment who himself is in pretty mediocre form. The wicket-keeper Sam Harper has 236 runs and also scored an unbeaten 66 in the last match. He and Shaun Marsh are the in-form batsmen who can be selected for fantasy teams.
Kane Richardson and Peter Hatzoglou continue to lead the bowling pack with 15 and 13 wickets respectively. The duo along with all-rounder Imad Wasim can be good picks for fantasy teams.
