India continued their dominance over South Africa with an innings-and-137-run win in the second Test at Pune. The series is already won 2-0, as the sides move to Ranchi for the third Test from Saturday. However, there is still so much to play for both teams.
40 points are on offer for the winning side in the ICC Test Championship race. India are at the top of the table, with 200 points and a lead of 140. South Africa are yet to pick up points, making this an interesting game to follow.
The home batsmen made merry in the series so far. Mayank Agarwal scored 330 runs so far with two 100s so far, that include one double-century. Rohit Sharma (317 runs) and Virat Kohli (305 runs) have also scored freely. Picking any of these batsmen is a must for your fantasy side.
Your team should also be stacked with the Indian spinners. Ravichandran Ashwin (14 wickets) and Ravindra Jadeja (ten wickets, 161 runs) have done really well on helpful pitches. Mohammed Shami (eight wickets) has taken the pitch out of the equation and will be a good pick.
South Africa Preview
It has been a complete disaster for South Africa all through the series. Their batsmen flopped in testing conditions. Only Dean Elgar (216 runs) aggregates more than 200 for the side. With Aiden Markram out with an injury and Theunis de Bruyn struggling, selecting South African batsmen could be risky.
Even in the bowling front, South Africa have been struggling for consistency. Their best bowler of the series, Keshav Maharaj has gone back home with an injury. Kagiso Rabada has been struggling for control, making it tough to pick him in the side.
Fantasy Players to Watch
Ravindra Jadeja had a nine-wicket match haul in the only Test played here. His batting is also a key feature and will add value to your side.
Mayank Agarwal has been very consistent for India at the top of the order. He has a double century and a century to his name in just three innings this series.
Faf du Plessis had just two scores of 50+ in the series. With pride to play for, he is expected to get among the runs.
India might look to swap Ishant Sharma for Kuldeep Yadav.
