Cricket - India v South Africa 1st Test Day 4

India defeated South Africa by 203 runs in Visakhapatnam to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series. Strong performances from Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal and Ravichandran Ashwin stole the show. The action now moves to Pune for the second Test starting from Thursday, 10th October.

The hosts will have one eye on clinching the series with a win. As for the visitors, there is so much to improve. Expect team changes for the Proteas, so be careful with your fantasy selections.

India Preview

Rohit Sharma eased into his role as a Test opener with centuries in both innings. Repeating that might be tough, but having him in your fantasy side is a must. Mayank Agarwal also presents value with his presence, while Cheteshwar Pujara is a good choice.

With the ball, Ravichandran Ashwin is a definite must. Ravindra Jadeja adds value with his hard-hitting and excellent left-arm spin control. Also have a look at ‘second innings’ Mohammad Shami.

South Africa Preview

The visitors did well with the bat in the first innings. Dean Elgar and Quinton de Kock showed value with their centuries. However, every other batsman flopped. Temba Bavuma is due for runs and hence could be a dark horse pick.

Picking South African bowlers in your side could be risky. Among the spinners, only Keshav Maharaj looks good. Kagiso Rabada was a disappointment and having him might prove dangerous.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Ravichandran Ashwin showed his value to the side with great returns. The off-spinner is value for money. He should be one of the first picks in your team.

Quinton de Kock has shown signs of burying his spin demons in the first match. Being a wicket ‘keeper increases his value.

Ravichandran Ashwin is the Don Bradman of bowling – especially in Indian conditions. The off-spinner is a great pick for your side.
