Fantasy Cricket: India v England T20I I Preview

It’s the battle between the top two ranked sides in the world, but the context for the five-match T20I series between India and England is different. The upcoming T20I World Cup in India will be at the back of mind as both sides look to finalise their compositions. All the matches will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad with the first one to be played on Friday.

India Preview

India will miss Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Shami for different reasons, but remain strong enough to challenge England. Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul are in the race to partner Rohit Sharma at the top. Rahul could get the nod. Similarly, it could be a toss-up between Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav.

In the bowling, it will be the return of Bhuvneshwar Kumar that should lift the Indian dressing room. Yuzvendra Chahal walks into the side and should be an exciting choice. Keep an eye on Hardik Pandya, who was seen practicing with his new bowling action.

England Preview

Forget the Test series, England start this T20I series as heavy favourites. Starting from Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, and Dawid Malan at the top to Chris Jordan and Adil Rashid in the lower-order, there are so many batting choices for the visitors.

Jofra Archer could be out of contention with his recurring shoulder problem. However, the likes of Mark Wood and Tom Curran augment their choices. All-rounder Sam Curran will be an interesting choice for your fantasy team. Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes provide the all-round options and strengthen England’s claims to supremacy.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Jos Buttler could be an excellent selection considering the value he brings as an all-rounder. England’s improving fortunes in the T20s coincided with Buttler’s promotion as an opener and that should continue here.

Ben Stokes hasn’t had great performances in this format, but could still be a force to reckon with. His all-round abilities – including his fielding – makes him a perfect choice.

Hardik Pandya could be looking to provide a couple of overs for his captain as he looks to build up to the World Cup. His hard-hitting ability lower down the order provide an exciting choice for your side.
