CRICKET - BBL - ELIMINATOR

Fourth-placed Brisbane Heat will host the fifth-placed Adelaide Strikers in the Eliminator on 29th January at the Gabba. Both teams had a pretty mediocre season as both of them finished with seven wins and seven losses.

The Heat were ahead of the Strikers by just a Bash boost point. Although the Strikers are leading the head-to-head count as they won both their matches against the Heat with the last one saw a brilliant hundred by Alex Carey.

Brisbane Heat Preview

For the Heat, their main strength lies in their top order batting as the captain Chris Lynn and the fellow opener Max Bryant are the top two run-getters for them. They along with the exciting Marnus Labuschagne should be the popular picks among the fantasy players. Jimmy Peirson is also a good option as a finisher.

Mark Steketee has 22 wickets and currently in the second spot among the overall wicket list. He along with Jack Wildermuth and Xavier Bartlett are good options for pace. Mitchell Swepson will lead the spin attack in the absence of Mujeeb Ur Rahman and should be part of many fantasy teams.

Adelaide Strikers Preview

Like the Heat, the Strikers are also dependent on their openers to give them a strong start. Alex Carey and Jake Weatherald both have scored 400-plus runs in the season and along with Phil Salt, they are the mainstays of the Strikers batting. Jonathan Wells can also be a good pick for fantasy from Adelaide Strikers.

Wes Agar and the experienced Peter Siddle will provide the primary bowling threat for them. The return of Michael Neser is good news for them and the fantasy players as the experienced bowler can be proved vital for their chances in the absence of Rashid Khan.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Chris Lynn is currently at the third position in the run-scorers chart with 420 runs and scored 5 fifties. He will look to give a quick start to his team.

Mark Steketee has picked up wickets in regular intervals and has been also rewarded with a national team call-up.

Alex Carey is just behind Lynn in the batting chart and also scored a century against the Heat earlier. He looks to be in good hitting form.
