After a high-scoring ODI series Australia and India will now meet to play a 3-match T20I series. The first match of the series will be played at Manuka Oval in Canberra.
Despite a 2-1 loss the Indians will go to the series with some confidence, especially after recording a win in the third ODI. The T20 Internationals are also expected to be high scoring and teams should target 160-plus as par score.
Australians will miss the service of David Warner but have enough fire power to overcome that challenge. Captain Aaron Finch, Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell are in great touch and whether batting first or chasing a target they would look to continue their natural flow. Marcus Stoinis missed the last Two ODIs due to side strain but can be back as batsman only during the T20Is.
They will also have all-rounders like D’Arcy Short, Moises Henriques, Ashton Agar and Cameron Green who can be key fantasy team picks to support with both the bat and ball. Like ODIs, in T20I also their pace bowling options are Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Sean Abbott. Adam Zampa will be again a popular fantasy team pick and expected to get key wickets.
Although their bowlers faltered their batsmen delivered decent performances as they put up 300-plus scores in all the three matches. Virat Kohli will lead the batting as Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer are also expected to provide important fantasy team points. There could be few interesting options like Mayank Agarwal, Sanju Samson and Manish Pandey to pick in the fantasy team.
The all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja’s good form will provide lots of comfort to the Indians. They will also have the support from Washington Sundar. Sunday is a handy fantasy team pick as he can be the second spin option and also bat at number six or seven. Pace bowling will be dependent on Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami with support from Deepak Chahar and T Natarajan.
Fantasy Players to Watch
Hardik Pandya is in great batting form and has started bowling again. In the T20I, Kohli may expect 2-3 overs from him and that would increase his chance to contribute more fantasy team points.
Steve Smith may not have a great T20I record like Tests and ODIs, his great form should give enough fantasy team points against Indian bowlers.
Adam Zampa is showing the happy knack of picking regular wickets. He should expect to be a key player in the fantasy team.
