Fantasy Cricket: Ashes Series – England vs Australia Test IV Preview

A Ben Stokes masterclass wrested the initiative back for England, who won the third Ashes Test by one-wicket. With two more Tests to go, the urn can be anyone’s. Australia need to avoid defeat in those two, while England need to win at least one and avoid defeat in the other.

England will feel they have the momentum after the Headingley thriller. The batting order has been changed, with Joe Denly set to open. Jason Roy moves down to number four in the quest to find form. Australia have dropped Usman Khawaja to accommodate the returning Steve Smith.

England Preview

The series is tied 1-1, but England are still searching for balance. The openers look out of form, but the elevation of Joe Denly could be a positive. Joe Root got amongst the runs in the third Test, while Ben Stokes remains their lynchpin.

For good measure, have a look at all-rounders Stokes and Jonny Bairstow for fantasy selections. Jofra Archer is another good pick, while Sam Curran might get a game. Chris Woakes might or might not play, making him a risky selection.

Australia Preview

The visitors will have to regroup quickly after the disappointment in the previous Test. Usman Khawaja is dropped and Steve Smith returns to the playing XI. James Pattinson is also rested, which means it could be a toss between Peter Siddle and Mitchell Starc.

For fantasy selections, David Warner could be a left-field choice. The pugnacious opener has just got some form back and could look to make the most of it. Among others, keep an eye on Travis Head.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Ben Stokes is a must for your fantasy side. The talisman all-rounder looks in ominous form with both bat and ball.

Marnus Labuschagne has top-scored for Australia in his last three innings. The feisty batsman will enjoy batting together with Smith.

Jofra Archer has 13 wickets in the Ashes, just one behind Stuart Broad. His aggression makes him a good pick to add vital points to your side.
