With Sri Lanka upsetting England, the fight for the top-four places has intensified. There is a new lease of life for sides like West Indies. They take on New Zealand in match #29 of the 2019 ICC World Cup. This day-night match will be played on Saturday in Manchester.

The Windies have three points from five matches. They need to win every match to have a chance of qualifying for the semis. New Zealand have nine points from four matches and are the unbeaten side of the tournament.

West Indies Preview

The worry for the ‘Men in Maroon’ is the drop in their performances. They were brilliant against Pakistan to start with. Even in the loss against Australia, West Indies  were impressive. However, the losses to Bangladesh and England highlighted their deficiencies.

Chris Gayle is yet to fire and that is a worry for the side. Only Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran have been scoring runs. There are concerns in the bowling too, with no variety in the line or nature of attack.

New Zealand Preview

The Kiwis are almost certain of a place in the semis. As such, they could look to give options to some of the fringe players. Captain Kane Williamson with 225 runs in the series has been very effective. Martin Guptill and Ross Taylor have also chipped in with useful runs.

New Zealand’s worry with the ball is the poor returns of Trent Boult. He hasn’t got as many wickets as expected. There could be a chance that the Kiwis rotate their bowlers.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Shai Hope has been consistently among the runs for West Indies this tournament. Packing him in your side will be good for fantasy points.

Kane Williamson has 225 runs in the series and is dismissed just once. The Kiwi captain is a must-have.

James Neesham will look to bring a bit more maturity in his game. His all-round abilities make him a dark horse for points.
