It is getting very interesting in the Big Bash League (BBL08) 2018/19 season, as the race to top-four gets intriguing. Match #32 will feature the Sydney Sixers and the Melbourne Renegades at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Wednesday January 16.
The Sixers and the Renegades both have eight points each, with the Sixers boasting a marginally better run-rate. The Sixers, however, have already defeated the Renegades this season by 33 runs.

Daniel Hughes (224 runs, SR 130.23) continues to be the best batsman for the Sixers, while Jordan Silk (207 runs, Sr 121.05) keeps doing his bit. The Sixers’ bowling is led by the trio of Steve O’Keefe (13 wickets), Tom Curran and Sean Abbott (11 wickets each).
Although their batting hasn’t been up to the scratch, the Sixers have enjoyed great bowling form. The addition of James Vince could be a master stroke, considering his experience in T20s.

Only Simon Harper (189 runs) scored an individual fifty in BBL08 so far for the Renegades. Having him in your fantasy XI can help you out, as the ‘keeper-batsman continues to impress. The return of Kane Richardson (11 wickets) from a hamstring injury should pitchfork him into your fantasy side.
Chris Boyce (seven wickets, ER 6.34) has also impressed with his control, which means he should be a pick in your side. However, it is their poor batting that keeps pegging them back. Veteran Cameron White may just find himself back in contention.

Tom Curran is having a great BBL season so far. He is in the top-five wicket-takers tally (11 wickets) and also in the top-ten economical bowlers, who have bowled at least 20 overs in BBL08. Add the 123 runs he scored at a SR of 146.42, Curran should walk into your fantasy XI.
Kane Richardson has missed the action for two games due to a hamstring injury. Still, he is joint-third in the bowlers’ tally with 11 wickets at an ER of 8.22. He will look to make up for lost time, so have him in your side for sure!
Daniel Hughes has been an excellent presence for the Sixers in BBL08. His runs have come at crucial times and makes him an ideal pick for your fantasy XI.
